new-staff

There have been staffing changes in Latin America and in the Asian regions. Firstly, in Latin America, after more than three years, Mónica López Baltodano will be leaving the position she has called her own. The knowledge she has of the networks in Latin America will be surely missed. We welcome to the programme, Tania Guillén Bolanos who will take over the role as Southern Voices Regional Facilitator for Latin America. Tania brings many years of experience in the field of environmental management.

The Asian region has also seen much movement.

Ha Thinh Quynh Nguyen, from NGO working Group in Vietnam has attended many of the regional workshops and has also been a regular contributor to the Southern Voices website. Nga will be transferring to a new project but in her place will be Nguyen Anh Minh, from CARE Vietnam. She will be coordinator for the Climate Change Working Group as of April.

Socheath Sou of The Cambodia Climate Change Network (CCCN), who has also participated in regional workshops since taking up the position will finish up with CCCN, this coming March 31. Mr Tep Boonny, Chairman of the CCCN Board of Directors will be attending the Southern Voices workshop in Kathmandu and will be in a caretaker position until a new Advocacy Coordinator is hired.

We wish Monica, Nga and Socheath the best for the future and we look forward to working with the new members of our network in the coming weeks.
